Time to think about Christmas cards....

Hope everyone is having a good summer! It sure is H O T!!! As much fun as we are having swimming each day I must say I'm ready for fall now. Bad thing is we probably haven't even experienced the hottest month yet. I'm sure August will try and out do it's friend July. Yikes!

Despite the heat I've still had a few photography sessions so I thought I'd share a couple of the latest here. I always update a few of the pictures to my Julie Brooks Photography Facebook page so you can follow me there too.

 

 

My newest niece...

Karen and BJ welcomed Presley Ann into the world on May 5th. She is such a cutie and I had fun taking her pictures. We changed her bow just about every other picture. That is something I don't get to do with boys. :) I love having nieces!  Presley's bows are from Polkadot Posies and they have the best prices!! I know this because I bought Blakely bows at a boutique when we were at the beach and they were $12 a piece!! Polka-Dot Posies has the same bows for $3! You do the math on that one moms. :)

I could go on and on with pictures, but that would take the whole blog.ha!

Isn't she precious?? I just love the smell of a baby. Oh so sweet.

Have you noticed I'm blogging more? Woo Hoo! I don't know if I have many readers left, but I figure I need to blog for the sake of my family.I have really missed blogging and finally decided it is something I have to make time for. This is like my journal and helps me keep my thoughts in order. I see from my stat counter I have readers so leave me a message and let me know your still around! :)

I'm off to pack we leave for mission trip in the morning. We are taking 65 to Laredo, Texas. It's going to be HOT, HOT, HOT!! Karen and BJ are house/kid sitting for us this week. I have loaded up on snacks for them and I hope they have a great week. Pray for our youth this week as they serve in Laredo.

 

Super Bowl XLV

Brian and I took the boys to see the Cowboys Stadium all decked out for the Super Bowl today! It's so neat living 20 min from Cowboys Stadium and The Ball Park In Arlington where the RANGERS play. We are also 30 mins from the Mavericks! :) So much to do so little time!

Carson is by far are biggest sports enthusiast! HE LOVES ALL THINGS SPORTS!!! As far as football goes he likes the Cowboys, Saints and Packers. He was thrilled this week when I came home with a Packers shirt.

We had a fun day and the stadium is all a buzz getting ready for the big day! We are going back this week to see it all completed. Too bad we don't have several thousand dollars lying around or we would go to the game! Youth Ministers can't really afford Super Bowl tickets. Lol!

Look who's turning 1 this month!

My niece Adalyn turns 1 July 29th. In honor of her birthday I took some pictures of her yesterday. I can't believe this little cutie will be ONE!! Isn't she adorable?? I love having nieces!! Adalyn and Blakely are the little girls I never had. I get to buy them frilly pink things and spoil them. :)

My sister is using this picture for Adalyn's birthday invitations and I will admit I'm a little proud. You see my sister has an eye for artsy cute things and when she explained what she wanted I was determined to meet her expectations. :) Do you see the cute damask background behind Adalyn?? Well, that is digital scrapbook paper from Creativity By Crystal. My sister found this website that has a great tutorial on how to layer a texture background into your picture. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I will be trying this technique on more pictures.

Easter- a week late

Here I am a week after Easter and am finally posting! Right after my last post my computer went on the fritz. I took it to spend some quality time with the Geek Squad at Best Buy. :) Everything is all better now. yea!

We had a wonderful EASTER!! It felt so odd to be here for Easter knowing that I would not be going back to Crossett afterward. I'm so use to coming in town for holidays and then leaving to head home. I keep thinking to myself........"we really are here to stay....we are home." Our weekend was beautiful....the weather was amazing. Good Friday we all shopped and hung our at my parents. Saturday was when we decided to do our egg hunt with all the kids. It worked out great. We had brunch at my parents and my mom made some yummy food and then we took pictures of the kids in their Easter clothes and had our egg hunt. It made Sunday go so much more smooth and it helped keep the true focus on the real reason for Easter and not the egg hunt and bunny!  Church was amazing.....(as usual) we had over 1500 Easter Sunday. It was so neat to have my family their to worship with us. I hope you all took time out to thank Jesus for dying on the cross and raising three days later......just for you!! Isn't it awesome to think he died for a sinner just like me and you! He would have done it if only for 1. He loves you and me that much! Thank you Lord for the forgiveness in the cross.

Insert individual picture of Mason here........Well, normally I would, but he wanted NOTHING to do with pictures this Easter. We are going through the preteen stage where everything your parents say or everything they want you to do is completely stupid. Please, Lord let this pass quickly!!

I can't even begin to explain how happy I am that I get to see my siblings anytime I want! :) This is new for me. Brian and I have been away most of our married life. It really is a blessing to be home and with family. :)

And yet another cute family photo shoot! You should have seen this pregnant girl hop up out of the middle of the road, climb over the fence to get photos along the path of the fallen leaves AND she did all of this with HEELS on!! I can't walk in heels when I'm not pregnant and little Mrs. Ashley is climbing fences in them 7 months pregnant!! :) I can't wait to meet  Miss Hadleyin January! Hope you like your pictures Ashley!
